About the Role
Re:wild seeks an innovative, entrepreneurial, experienced, and dedicated Senior Events Manager to lead the planning, implementation, and execution of all organizational events. This person will design, lead and execute extraordinary experiences – from immersive, world-class galas to intimate dinners – that deliver lasting impact and mobilize philanthropists, investors, influencers, and partners at the highest level.

The Senior Events Manager will be the architect of these experiences, ensuring they are flawlessly executed, mission-driven, and transformative. The successful candidate will have proven leadership and project management skills, the ability to oversee external event planners, and experience with major philanthropists. The Senior Events Manager will report to the Director of Philanthropy Partnerships, with a dotted line to the Chief Communications Officer; and work in close collaboration with Re:wild’s Philanthropy, Conservation Programs, and Marketing and Communications teams.
Re:wild’s unique model, with core donors funding all the overhead of the organization, allows 100% of philanthropic support to flow directly to programmatic work with local partners. Events are key to raising and leveraging support for on-the-ground impact, making this role critical to our core philanthropic strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Event Program Strategy & Management
- Design a compelling and targeted annual events plan and calendar that advances Re:wild’s philanthropy and conservation goals.
- Effectively and passionately articulate and implement Re:wild’s event goals, from vision to execution.
- Lead creative event concept development.
- Oversee and approve event invite lists and invitations.
- Manage Re:wild event committees, external event planners, event staff and volunteers, ensuring exceptional standards across all events.
- Manage the execution of the event on-site, troubleshooting issues and ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
Event Fundraising and Communications
- Oversee all communications and marketing of events, in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team.
- Lead efforts to securing corporate sponsorship for events.
- Coordinate event fundraising with Philanthropy Team, including host sponsorships, table and ticket purchase, auctions, event donations, and other event-driven fundraising.
Administration & Operations
- Plan, prepare and manage event budgets and timelines.
- Negotiate and secure rates and contracts with vendors (e.g., catering, venues, A/V) and coordinate all logistical aspects, including staffing, transportation, and equipment.
- Coordinate event finance and administration with the Operations Team.
- Track and report on fundraising outcomes, donor engagement, and ROI for events.
Competencies & Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant leadership experience producing successful high-profile fundraising events, galas, and/or luxury activations.
- Enthusiasm, commitment to excellence, self-motivation, and a professional demeanor.
- A strong reputation and network in conservation and/or philanthropy.
- An understanding of charitable giving legal guidelines, specifically as it relates to fundraising events.
- Exceptional communication skills, including writing, editing, and correspondence.
- Strong decision-making and crisis management skills to handle unexpected issues under pressure.
- Ability to balance bold vision with precise operational delivery and strong organization skills.
- Language skills (Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, and/or Bahasa) a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce and event management software preferred.
- Experience in conservation and related fields is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
- This is a full-time, exempt position.
- Projected salary range of $80,000-120,000 with the final determination commensurate with experience.
- Re:wild provides medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance, with Re:wild covering up to 68-100% of the premiums. Re:wild also offers a 403b retirement plan with up to 3% match after a year of employment.
- Re:wild observes 16 paid holidays each calendar year. Full-time employees can also accrue the following annually: up to 15 days of vacation leave, 12 days of illness leave and 2 volunteer days.
- Hours: The position will occasionally require working outside of normal business hours to engage with staff located in different time zones around the world.
- Travel: Significant travel, both in the US and internationally.
