Associates

Re:wild’s invitation-only Associates Program accelerates and amplifies conservation impact by supporting leaders working to protect priority species, ecosystems, and wild places around the world.

The Associates program cultivates and supports conservation leaders throughout their career. Associates receive a connection to Re:wild, mentorship (as appropriate), and access to technical training, peer learning exchanges, our global partner network, and–as available–flexible funding to advance their work.

Over 30 Re:wild Associates working in organizations, at universities, and independently to rewild our planet have achieved remarkable successes including discovering new and lost species, establishing new protected areas, and inspiring others to help protect our planet.

Who are Associates?

Associates are action-oriented, values-driven individuals who are deeply committed to conservation and in alignment with three key traits: Re:wild spirit, need for support, and a desire to contribute. Associates represent a wide range of experience levels and disciplines, including emerging and advanced-career conservationists, community leaders, academics, storytellers, artists, and scientists.

Recruitment Process

The Associates Program is invitation-only and recruitment is typically initiated through connections with Re:wild staff.

When a potential Associate is identified, the Guardians team meets with the Re:wild staff member proposing the candidate to discuss overall fit and alignment with the program. If strong alignment is identified, the Guardians team will move forward with the formal invitation and onboarding process.
