Estimated Term: Six months
Scope: This is a part-time contractor role (approx. 20 hrs/week) supporting Mesoamerican conservation initiatives.
Compensation: $1,200-1,500 per month depending on experience
Reporting: Reports to Latin America Director and Senior Mesoamerica Associate

SUMMARY

Re:wild seeks a skilled and proactive consultant to provide essential administrative, operational and programmatic support in executing ambitious conservation strategies and programs for Mesoamerica. This role will focus on streamlining operations, project management, and administrative duties, enabling the Senior Mesoamerica Associate to focus on strategic priorities. The Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Mesoamerica Associate and Latin America Director to ensure the timely delivery of financial, project, and administrative tasks while contributing to the successful implementation of high-impact conservation initiatives across Mesoamerica.

SERVICES/DELIVERABLES

The consultant will be responsible for delivering the following services:

1. Grant Administration

  • Work with potential grantees and contractors to develop proposals, guiding them on the grant application process, and reviewing submissions.

  • Administer outgoing grants and contracts in Re:wild grants systems, including ensuring that partners have met reporting deadlines, reviewing financial and technical reports, approving payments, and identifying potential risks that need to be escalated.

  • Liaise with Mesoamerica Associate, grantees and Re:wild’s Operations team to process grant applications, extensions, etc

  • Coordinate and consolidate narrative and financial reports for donors, including securing required information from grantees and other stakeholders.

  • Track all incoming grants and their required reporting schedules.

  • Support in the preparation of proposals as required with a focus on budget requirements.

2. Project Management

  • Coordinate and track project deliverables across multiple Mesoamerican conservation initiatives.

  • Develop and manage work plans, timelines, and budgets for key initiatives in collaboration with the Senior Mesoamerica Associate.

  • Monitor reporting and administrative duties of Mesoamerican projects.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure follow-through on agreed actions.

  • Support communications and reporting among partners, donors, and the Re:wild Latin America team.

COMPETENCIES / QUALICATIONS

  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, conservation, or related fields.

  • Strong skills in budget development and monitoring, financial reporting, grant management, and administrative operations.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Knowledge of conservation issues in Mesoamerica and experience working with government and donor partners is a strong advantage.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
