Bachelor in Ecology and Tourism, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador

Johanna is a professional with over ten years of experience in managing environmental and social projects, specializing in strategic planning, fundraising, risk analysis, and community engagement. She lives in the Galapagos Islands and has collaborated with a diverse range of stakeholders and organizations, both within the Galapagos Islands and mainland Ecuador, and internationally. Her work has involved forging strategic alliances to advance conservation objectives and effectively identifying and pursuing fundraising opportunities.

She is a board member of the International League of Conservation Photographers. Prior to joining Re:wild, Johanna worked with the Charles Darwin Foundation as Director of Inter-institutional Affairs and Chief of Staff. Johanna also served as CEO and then President of Fundación Scalesia, a local foundation in the Galapagos that supports education for sustainability.
