About Us

Let's get wild

You know what’s wild? That nearly 70% of people don’t know what biodiversity is, or why it matters. We are inviting the world to rewild the Earth with us for a future where wildlife thrives and ecosystems support the wellbeing and prosperity of all wildkind.

Our Mission

Re:wild's mission is to protect and restore the wild to build a thriving Earth where all life flourishes.

Our Impact

We significantly expanded our impact in 2021 by growing our portfolio of sites and species, as well as our relationships with conservation partners. Check out Re:wild's latest impact report.

Our Model

Re:wild launched in 2021 combining more than three decades of conservation impact by Leonardo DiCaprio and Global Wildlife Conservation, leveraging expertise, partnerships and platforms to bring new attention, energy and voices together. In 2021, Re:wild and partners helped conserve 231 million acres, maintaining the sequestration of more than 63 billion metric tons of carbon. We have over 200 active project sites in more than 80 countries where we are driving direct conservation action for over 160 threatened species and leveraging support for an additional 30,000 species.

The wild is for the 100%. By rewilding, we can protect the biodiversity of the most irreplaceable places on the planet, and restore our connection to the balanced system that has managed itself for over 4 billion years. In return, we pledge that 100% of all efforts and donations go directly to the people and places on the ground where it matters most.

Re:wild the World

Re:wild is our—and your—science-based vehicle to make a difference. With a focus on actions that will build a world in balance with the wild, we are committed to equipping all those yearning to be a part of the solution with the tools they need to make the change.
