Urgent Appeal: Building the Future of Conservation

For 15 years, Groundwork USA's National Service Corps has sent young people to places like Yellowstone and Grand Teton—putting them to work protecting the landscapes they'll steward for decades. This summer, a $20,000 funding gap is threatening to cancel those placements. Re:wild is contributing $20,000. Help us close the gap.

Support Young Conservation Leaders

Young conservationists are ready for the field, a funding gap is in the way.

At Re:wild, our impact is powered by partners like Groundwork USA, who are preparing the next generation of conservation leaders.

For 15+ years, Groundwork’s National Service Corps has placed young people in parks like Yellowstone and Grand Teton—building skills, ecological knowledge, and confidence through hands-on conservation work.

94% of participants leave with a stronger sense of belonging in nature, and 97% gain clearer direction toward environmental careers. Right now though, shifts in funding and rising costs are putting this important work at risk.

Without programs like this, essential conservation work goes undone—and young people lose access to meaningful pathways into environmental careers.

Scaling impact together

This summer, Re:wild is proud to support Groundwork in sending 50+ young leaders to Yellowstone to steward these landscapes and continue this vital work.

A $40,000 gap is putting this summer’s program at risk. Re:wild is contributing $20,000 and rallying support to raise the remaining $20,000—so these young leaders can step into the field.

How you can help

Your partnership can make a meaningful difference for these young leaders. By supporting this work, you are directly helping them build skills while caring for our national parks.

Re:wild ensures resources reach the local partners leading conservation on the ground, where they are needed most. We can also provide photo and video assets from the field so you can share the story of the young leaders, landscapes, and conservation work your support makes possible.

Help us close the gap and get these young leaders into the field.
