Lost Birds

How past and present data informs the journey from search to rediscovery

Date & Time

Thursday, October 8th 2026
10AM ET/3PM GMT

Description

Join us to explore how data shapes our efforts and decision making at the Search for Lost Birds, from past and present evidence being used to guide surveys for species still missing to rediscovery records that trigger new conservation action. Through two case studies with partners in Colombia, speakers will show how both positive findings and negative survey data can improve understanding, direct future searches, and inform species assessments and recovery of lost birds.
