    B.B. A. in Business Management, The University of Texas at Austin and University of North Texas

    Laura J. Kay oversees all aspects of GWC major fundraising events including Re:wild’s Wild Night for Wildlife Gala and Art Basel Benefits. Laura also works with our corporate partners who support Re:wild’s programs and initiatives. Prior to joining Re:wild, Laura dedicated her life to the non-profit world managing fundraising events, community relations, corporate outreach and volunteer programs.

    Laura has been an advocate for animals, both wild and domestic, her entire life. Her passion for animals has led her to a career working with Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, the Animal Trustees of Austin, the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary and Global Animal Partnership. She is proud to have also planned events for CASA of Travis County and Home Hospice as well.

    Laura also enjoys in working for her community. She was on the Board of Directors for DOVIA, HSMAI and the Frisco Community Theatre. She was a founding member of the Grayson County Katrina Disaster Relief Effort, a DFW Tourism Council member, MPI Member and Grayson County Citizen of the Year.

    When not managing the details of an event or creating the concept for a new one, Laura loves traveling with her husband and spending time with her three rescued pets. She enjoys entertaining, music, gardening and experiencing all the fun new restaurants in the Austin area.
